Valentines Day

Wednesday is Valentine’s Day. We gave each other cards because we have the blessing of buying each other gifts whenever we want. Evelyn exercised and then we dressed for the Christian Women’s Club luncheon. We picked June up at 11:15 and drove to the country club. We had a good time and the meal was fair but something went wrong. There were 8 of us at our table but only 5 meals were brought in the beginning. We all thought the other 3 would be right behind so we ate. We were completely finished when they finally got their meals. There was another table near us that received no meals until the end. The man who gave the testimony was a man who used to work with the Stonecroft lodge where we used to volunteer. He and his wife were good friends of the Durkins and really were disappointed they had missed them. They weren’t there. We returned home and took a nap because it was now 3. We had leftovers for supper. We could have had a meatloaf sandwich with meat we brought from the lunch, but we had things older than that. I worked a bit on preparing for the Max Lucado Bible study Bonny has set up for Monday evening. Evelyn finished the dress for Rosalie and then dressed for bed. I am also satisfied with the sermon but will probably change it more before Sunday.
