Prep for Savannah

Tuesday: no Kara again. Her mother did call from AK, however. The hose was still connected to the inside spigot so I did not do any of the degreasing of the outside. This is also the day the professional window washer comes. As a result I was finished with my work by 10:45 despite the fact that the crowd last night made up for the cleanliness of the crowd Sunday night. Both Kara and I don’t understand how people can be so thoughtless and filthy in their habits. As usual I did find some smaller things to occupy myself until noon when Evelyn brought me home. She had made a huge salad for our lunch. We need those but I would never request one because they are so difficult to make. She topped it with some feta cheese we had bought in New Mexico in May of 2006. We bought a pound for us and 10 pounds for Tom and Stacy. I would bet theirs was used up long before we began using ours. Evelyn had scheduled an appointment with the interior designer working on our living room window treatment. She came while I took a nap, and Evelyn made some choices. The woman left to order the materials and called back to say that they would be here in two weeks. The most recent choice was found to be out of production. We walked around to talk with Jim and Kathy about Savannah because we received our mailing from the CofC. She didn’t come home before we had to leave for the potluck/Bible study. We were well fed again and studied the historical background to the Augsburg Confessions. We came home and I went to the corner and dug two more hollyhocks and planted them. While digging them up I found a black cable. I thank God that I didn’t stick my shovel into it. It may have not been an electric line but I think I was protected. I pray that I am still of service to Him.
