Many surprises

Saturday means flea markets and we went after watering our plants around the house. We found some things we needed: a ceramic vase to hold our kitchen items, a candle for our prayer couple, a box of secret sister greeting cards, and a wooden coat hanger for my suit jacket to replace the one the cleaners lost for me last summer. We also went to Lowes to look for some narrow refuse containers and some spray to control ants in our kitchen. We also bought a rug grabber to stop our carpet piece from slipping on the deck. We also bought a new rug for the entrance way. We came home for lunch. Evelyn made some egg salad and pea salad because we had some hard boiled eggs that we needed to use. We had them for lunch and they were delicious as usual. After cleaning the kitchen, Evelyn rested until time to leave for a birthday dinner at church. We went to Waynesville to get some oil and a filter at a special price and some ice cream as our contribution to the dinner. Others brought the ham entree and many side dishes. It was a nice dinner after which we went to the Mountain Music Festival at Lake Junaluska. It is held each year and we go each year. There were many good groups but our favorite was the Cockman family. It is a father, four sons, a daughter and several grandchildren. We went outside before we left and listened to them jam. On the way home we learned that Purdue was winning big it its first game. Earlier Michigan was stunned by Appalachia State in its home opener.
