Stock show 2

Thursday morning I called and made a bid of $1000 on the used trailer. I then went to recycle the plastic, cardboard, and papers. I then went to the license bureau to renew my license. It went smoothly and I was home shortly after Evelyn arrived. We had oatmeal and then prepared to go to the stock show for our second turn at volunteering. We picked up the partners during our shift and went to the information station. I have a good time trying to get the people to participate in the scavenger hunt. I tell them they will likely win. Actually there are thousands of entries. We did meet a man who said he had won about years ago. We took turns going to the volunteer break room and the judging areas. It was windy but pleasant because the temperature is creeping up. We came home and just sat around. I had a couple of beers because I was hot and dusty. We had some snacks and then finished the smoked ribs I had cooked a month ago. We had planned to serve them to Stan and Linda but were glad we didn’t: there weren’t as many left as we had thought. Evelyn had to get ready for her Bible study and I gathered my sleeping clothes ready to take to the doctor. I had to be there between 8 and 9. I had to blog quite early because of that.
