Marriage Encounter

We slept late again Saturday but not until 10. We had to get some groceries and went to the local Food Lion. We had agreed to take a dessert to the spiral and had to get some ingredients. We also needed milk and eggs plus some other things. We found Pepsi on special and bought some of that too. I went to the place where we bought the TV set two years ago to see if someone would come to get our Direct TV to work. One guy said he would call and send someone in the afternoon. No one ever did either. We shared a can of soup for lunch, anticipating a large meal this evening. After cleaning the kitchen, we took a nap. I don’t know why I am so tired. I will use my sleep machine tonight and see if that helps. We wakened and got ready to meet another couple from Marriage Encounter at church and drive them to the spiral in Hendersonville. They are both elderly and in marginal health so it was a blessing for them that I would drive. We arrived early at the home of the people we will rent the motor home from in July. They hosted the meal after we did the 10/10 sharing. They had two kinds of “chili”, one with chicken and one without. One couple brought Mexican cornbread muffins, another brought a layered salad and we brought blueberry/pineapple cobbler with ice cream. We didn’t think much of the chili but it was ok. We were home by 9 and I tried to get the tech support from Direct TV to fix our problem. They couldn’t and wanted to sign me up for an expensive tech support program. I will try the local guys instead. Spring is just beginning here. We were supposed to have temperature in the 40s and snow but nothing has happened yet. In fact it has been very temperate all day. Our dogwood tree is just beginning to bud as are many other trees. We pray there is not another late freeze like the one that killed the apple crop last year.
