Welcomed rain

Sunday brought the blessing of rain from our Lord. We went to church a bit early to rehearse with the choir. I will try to publish some pictures. We sang as a choir and then had a congregational meeting to file a motion to incorporate in order to close on a loan from LCEF for the addition to the church. We had planned to go to Snappy’s for pizza and had invited others to go with us but called to find no answering the phone. We just stayed here and ate. Evelyn took a nap and then we went to a community gathering to support the local hospital. They have been rejected by Medicare and many other insurance companies due to malfeasance by former upper echelon staff. Everyone hopes that it will pass and inspection, making it possible for the facility to reopen soon. We then came back and dropped in on Jim and Kathy. It was nice to visit with them, but they just don’t seem as friendly as they were this past summer. We came home and had our usual supper of popcorn. Since it rained most of the day--off and on--we didn’t take a chance on walking around the lake and getting drenched. Perhaps tomorrow, although it is supposed to rain more. I am surprised that the weather forecast was right today.
