Sports galore and great blessing
We were up and off to church by 10. I had loaded the trash and recyclables so I could take them around the corner to the dump. I dropped Evelyn so she could work with a friend to prepare the altar for church tomorrow. I accidentally dropped our cell phone but didn’t notice it was gone until I took Evelyn home. I went to Jim’s and called out phone on his cell. The man at the dump answered and I drove to get it. I knew it had to be there or the grocery or the church. I retuned home with the phone and heated soup for Evelyn’s lunch. I ate some scraps from the refrigerator for mine. I settled in to watch some of Purdue’s game on the game tracker. They beat a good team from Central Michigan. We then watched the Cubs win their division title for the 2nd year in a row. After that we took a walk around the loop and met Jim. We invited him to walk with us and ended up going to the Garlic Knots in Maggie Valley. We got the 2 for 1 spaghetti dinner with sausage. We came home to see the finish seeing Ball State clobber IU. We called some friends from our park in Texas and talked for a short while before retiring. Evelyn seemed to have a bit more energy today but is worried about the hyperthyroidism. We are praying that it will not require additional surgery. She still has stomach pain after eating but is taking more potassium and honey. We pray that this will help more. Evelyn also received more cards and birthday calls from friends and family.
