tea and grouper
We were up and moving by 8. We had breakfast and Evelyn began preparing to leave for the LWML tea in Franklin. I went out and watered our plants and the neighbor’s. We haven’t had any rain for quite a while and was needed. I took Evelyn to church to catch her ride and then went to the CVS to get some foundation for her. It was marked down this week. They only had 2 bottles, so I had to ask for rain checks for 2 more. I came home and finished off the hot dogs and my boudin. I watched some football games waiting for the Purdue game. They played well for 1 quarter and were ahead of Oregon 20-13 when the Bollingers came to take us to the “fishes and loaves” grouper dinner at the local Methodist Church. We enjoyed the grouper and returned here for raisin pudding dessert. We arrived just in time to see the finish of the game. Purdue lost 32-26 in double overtime. It was depressing but no one thought they would come within 2 touchdowns because Oregon is ranked 16 in the national poles. After dessert we watched the DVD of Evelyn’s 50th class reunion. During the day I had planned and practiced a talk I plan to give before worship tomorrow morning. I must hold it to under 5 minutes. It is about the LLL convention next year in Greensboro, NC.
