Begining the medical musical chairs
We were up at 7 and off to the flea market. I got there on time but nearly everyone was gone. I didn’t sell any of the golf clubs I wanted to, but there will be another next month. Evelyn went to the grocery to shop for things we needed. We came home and worked a short while before going to the doctor at 10:30. We didn’t leave there until almost 12:30. The doctor made an appointment with an endocrinologist in McAllen for next week. We also had bone destiny tests and tetanus shots. The nurse practitioner went on the internet to learn what inoculations we need before our cruise. She called the pharmacy that will order the vaccines for us. We need about 5 shots. We came home and had a salad for lunch. I then took the recyclables to the center. What a disgrace that place is! I don’t know who, if anyone, ever cleans it up. I returned and we made an appointment to have our unit cleaned. I pumped up the bicycle tires and then tried to organize the golf equipment I will use. I also grilled hamburgers for supper and then we invited our friends, the Froments, over for some Dutch apple pie Evelyn had made. We talked over our summer experiences and then they went home. We will go to an AARP meeting tomorrow in what we hope is a rain. We need rain here, just as we did in NC.
