Monday

Monday was park meeting day. Many activities are closing down for the season. We still have 1 dance this coming Friday. We came home and ate breakfast before going to the stock show to work. On the way we met a Mary Kay dealer who gave us 25% off a lipstick and took a small golf bag to an upholsterer to have repaired. We went on to work. It was slow but very pleasant to work. We give schedule of events brochures to people as they come in. Things were so slow that we both were able to take breaks. Evelyn saw computer pictures of this year’s cotton fabric style show. I went around the carnival area. There was a tremendous number of rides but many were of the same concept, just different plastic shells on them. There were also many games of skill (knocking cats over with softballs, etc.) and even some side shows (2 headed turtle or 2 headed anything). We came back through Mercedes and brought the repaired bag home. We ate an early supper and then walked around looking for another couple to invite to accompany us to the concert Wednesday. Evelyn went to bed early, and I watched Headlines on the Tonight Show. I had prepared and practiced some of the liturgy for Sunday’s service.
