shades of square dance lessons
We were up and off to the usual place. We took some items from Doris with us because we were going past the Open Door, and she wanted to donate them. We went to the library to renew some DVDs and then dropped off the items. We also wanted to tell the scheduler that we would be unavailable to volunteer on Wednesdays. We then began a search for some items Evelyn needed for her party Thursday morning. She wants to make some sort of breakfast pizza and needed a round pan. We also bought some other necessary items but only after going to the 3rd store. We came home and had a heavy lunch. Evelyn rested and then began preparation for the brunch. She made blueberry muffins and other things. We then ate snacks for supper and went to a local RV park to meet some friends from the Valley. They are here for some square dances. We enjoyed watching them dance. The moves are complicated and require knowledge of the vocabulary the callers use. The music runs throughout the gamut including pop songs. The callers are so good they can call to anything. We invited Vance and Jackie to visit our home tomorrow after we serve at the hospital. I think Evelyn has a plan for us to take square dance lessons next winter. I was not too excited about that but did enjoy seeing what the advance dancers did. We tried to watch a movie, “Noel”, but I was discouraged when Evelyn was flitting around and not paying attention. She did watch most of it but lost me.
