Dancing the night away
We slept well again last night and were strong enough to walk before going to the Open Door. On the way we got cash from the bank and took some of Evelyn’s shoes for repair. There were many people serving at the soup kitchen today but no one to give the devotion. I did it and sang a verse from “It Is Well with my Soul”. We left early because Evelyn was not feeling well again and there were many servers. We came home and Evelyn colored her hair--I had used “A Touch of Grey” on mine earlier--and then went for a manicure because she has some nails that are shattering. They could hurt a lot if not strengthened. She came home just in time to talk with Stacy who was hanging some Mexican blankets she had ordered from Mexico. We had dropped them off in April when we went through, and she wanted us to know she was hanging them. We had a light supper and went to the ballroom dance in Clyde. We met several of our dancing friends and enjoyed ourselves. Evelyn felt ok most of the time but we left early when her hip began to hurt. We met a professor from WCU while there and talked with him and his wife about the Mountain festival the final Saturday in September. We came home and made arrangements to meet with the Combs for lunch in Gatlinburg tomorrow. We will stay in Pigeon Forge. We packed our medicine and went to bed. We want to leave before 10 tomorrow morning.
