Happy Reformation Day

Praise God! Evelyn got some good sleep last night as did I. I even thought some and figured out what was wrong with my computers. I had loaded the code that works in La Quintas but not others. We got up around 8:30 and met some interesting people at breakfast. We reminisced with them about things to do around Lafayette. There is a “Black Pot” okra cookoff and festival that one of the couples attended last night in the rain. We will try to find it since it continues all day today. Evelyn was able to take another short nap this morning while I was waiting to see if Purdue would be telecast on ESPN2 in this area. It turned out that the Wisconsin game was televised. Purdue must have missed the plane and didn’t show up. We decided to go to the Black Pot festival at the Acadian village after our lunch at Dwyer’s cafeteria. (We had given up on the game at half time.) We had delicious pork jambalaya and grilled catfish. The former was good. When we arrived at the festival and discovered the entry fee was $20 per person, we returned to the motel to rest for the evening trip. We drove to Eunice and saw the radio program at the Liberty Theater. It was poor compared to the ones we had seen in the past. We were able to dance several times before the show ended half an hour earlier than usual. We stopped for a Blizzard on the way to the motel and went to bed. Neither of us is running on all cylinders yet.
