Fool me twice, shame on me!
I was up for breakfast early. Evelyn had been unable to sleep until late so I didn't want to disturb her. When she wakened, we worked on rearranging the things in the car and watering the plants. We also put some of the newly purchased sodas into the trailer. We then took Bob and Theresa downtown to look around. We learned that the sidewalk sale we found last year was tomorrow. We planned to return to look for bargains. We met Tom and Luanne for lunch at the Friesenhaus. We shared a Jagerschnitzel as we did last year. We then separated for the afternoon but met again by the pool at 4:30. Don and Janice arrived from Rio Hondo and joined us. We then rode with Don in his truck to the fest. Tom and Luanne met us there. We enjoyed Alex Meixner again as well as the girls from Munich. They played 3 songs on the hand cowbells and were fabulous. Their dancing was very sedate and unimaginative but the cowbells were great. We ate at the festival again, and then came back to the motel. When we arrived, Bob dropped the bombshell that they were leaving tomorrow morning. This really irritated me. We only planned to stay 3 nights to accomodate their wishes. They had pulled an early departure on us this past spring from Weslaco. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I won't be fooled again. As much as we enjoy being with them, I will prearrange anything with them again.
