New car blues

This morning was cool and windy but nice for a walk. I did that while Evelyn exercised. I found our friends, the Drews, and invited them to our Bible study tomorrow. They also agreed to announce the Bible study at their park meeting tomorrow morning. We came home and ate some casserole and went off to look for a car. We went to the local Ford dealer because we don’t want to buy an Obamamobile--GM or Chrysler. We talked with a nice young man until 2:30 about a Taurus and an Edge. We made an offer then went home for lunch. Evelyn was so tired she went to sleep for half an hour while I prepared lunch and washed the dishes from last night. After eating, we returned to the dealership but couldn’t strike a deal. We were $2000 apart on the price. We were looking now because of the Obama tax credit. We never did find out how much it was but will try to find out tomorrow. We then went to look at golf carts which can offer a $4100 tax credit. Of course we have to spend around $2700 more than that to get it. We decided to just buy new batteries and keep our current cart. It is also quite likely we will keep our Saturn. We came home for soup and walked around the park in the crisp winter air. Rain is predicted for most of tomorrow.
