making great strides

Exercise and breakfast. I rode to the pharmacy for my medicine and went to a doctor’s office to pay a bill. Like many down here, they will settle for half of what is owed. We worked on our different projects and then had lunch. Evelyn went shopping, and I worked on making copies of the introits for the upcoming Sundays. She went to a jeweler to ask about getting her marquis diamond ring resized. I went to Armond’s next door and we planned to go play golf after lunch. We decided to just play the par 3 course and were finished by 2:30. I didn’t score well but did make some shots that I felt good about. When I returned, I got the mail and continued working. I even worked in the evening as we watched a dumb Danny Devito movie and a good one: The Story of the Nativity. We went to bed at the usual time. Evelyn’s hip has hurt for nearly 2 weeks now, causing her to not walk as much. She has been sleeping, however, and has not been forced to resort to the Ambien yet. I finished all the introit preparation for the entire season. I thank God because that will be a real timesaver later. I also have made copies of all the readings to give to the readers from the congregation. We learned that the Beelis are planning to leave CA tomorrow, headed for the Grand Canyon. The weather prediction is for terrible snowstorms in the upper Midwest. We pray that they will be far enough behind the storms that they will travel into areas that have been cleaned up.
