The Lord carries us along
It was barely sprinkling this morning We had received enough blessings anyway. Evelyn made it to exercise and then returned home for breakfast. We then left on what seems to be our daily errands. We met with the kitchen band to entertain the residents at John Knox Village. Many were missing but we still had a good performance. We left there and went to the jeweler to have him make one of Evelyn's rings round. I waited in the car for 20 minutes. It seems he was fascinated with her turquois ring. He was also interested in showing her all kinds of amethyst jewelry. We left there and went to make another appointment to have the car looked over. He had told me to not come if it was a nasty morning. We left and went to Radio Shack to see if they had a portable CD player that would replace the one in our living room. They did and it worked when we came home. It even worked with the connections we had used with the old one. We will miss it because it was a gift from Pieder many years ago and we used it many hundred miles in our motor homes. We tried to go to the Cricket store but there was a longer line than we were willing to wait for. We resisted the call to eat out and came home where Evelyn made some delicious tacos. We were glad to have come home. We cleaned the kitchen and lay down for a nap. We were up by 3 and Evelyn went to see if our neighbor could help her remove her knitting, but she was busy looking at floor covering. We finished our potato soup for supper and then went to our respective Bible studies. She is studying Esther, and I am studying God in Exodus and how He showed the gods of Egypt how powerful He is. I noticed that Purdue was playing Indiana and set the DVR to record the second half but somehow that didn't happen. I think I have finalized our trip to Los Angeles in April. I had the dates wrong, and we have to stay an extra night there. Before the cruise, we will stay in the Westin and after in the La Quinta, both at the airport. The big complications are getting our luggage from the train station to the hotel, then from the pier to the La Quinta. On Sunday we must get back to the depot and board the train for the return to San Antonio. I made an offer to the van driver for all three rides. I will have to wait for the reponse.
