Attacking the swing

We slept really late this morning—9:30. I got up and fried the eggs we wanted yesterday. After we cleaned the kitchen, we changed into work clothes and began the staining process. Andrew built a elevation for the swing while Stephen and Evelyn applied polyurethane to the Texas table. Andrew and I applied dark walnut stain to the slats on the swing. We will do the back and bottom tomorrow morning. We came inside and watched some veggie Tales after Andrew figured out how to hook up the VCR. Evelyn made us a salad because we were to attend a potluck before the Bible study at church. After the kitchen was cleaned, she took the boys to the Rec center. I stayed home and gave the table a second coat of polyurethane and added barbecue sauce to the pulled pork we would take to the potluck. The thunder rolled across the sky, causing the center to close the pool. The boys played basketball and then went to the grocery for some final supplies. We went to the church, ate and were blessed by a Bible study on the I AMs of Jesus as found in the Gospel of John. We then returned home and played phase 10 before the basketball game started at 9. I worked on the computer for a while and went to bed after the news.
