Noah's day away

I made scrambled eggs for breakfast, and then Noah went outside and oiled and tightened up our bikes. I watered our tomatoes because it hadn’t rained yesterday. Our friends, the Monteiths, called and invited Noah to meet them to play tennis. He was willing to ride the 2 miles to the courts, but we decided to take him because it would be difficult to take his lunch and tennis racquet on the bike. We left and went for more food. We brought it home and returned to the hospital. Our friends brought Noah home, but he jumped on the bike and rode back to see if he could rent a kayak. The charge was $5 for 30 minutes, but he couldn’t go because there were not enough lifeguards on the lake. In all our years we have never seen a lifeguard outside the swimming pool area. He rode back home and read. We left the hospital around 3:30 and went home. Evelyn rested while Noah and I went to the library to get some DVDs. We especially wanted “Breaking Away”, a great cycling film from the 70s. We also picked up some more food and came home. He and Evelyn made alfredo pasta and we ate before going to the dance. Noah stayed home and watched the movie. We met Karen and Dallas at the dance and learned it was their 44th anniversary. They are special friends. We were all impressed with the one man band tonight. He did not take a break during the 2 ½ hour dance. We were home by 10:30 and I joined Noah in watching the “Bourne Ultimatum”, the third in a series of a movie trilogy. Evelyn us having trouble sleeping as I write this. Noah took some measurements of our wishing well so he can build us a new one. The one we have is falling apart. It is quite old. We may work on it tomorrow.
