Outdoors work

Saturday morning was very foggy and cold. Of course the fog made it feel even colder. I had to take Evelyn to a church hosting a simulcast of some Bible teaching. It lasted from 9:30-4:30. I went to the monthly flea market to see if the golf guy had brought the rubber ball retriever that fits on the end of a putter. It prevents having to bend over to get the ball out of the cup. He had not been able to find it in his garage. I also found a ceramic plaque that quotes one of my favorite verses—Psalms 37:4. I couldn’t find anything else we had been looking for so I came home. I spent much of the day leveling off the knockout roses at the side of our house. That took all morning. After lunch, I watched some football and cleaned the inside of the car. I got so warm that I had to change my sweatshirt. I noticed the increase in my body temperature while dumping the rose cuttings in our open field. Evelyn came home disappointed. The program was a simulcast and was of poor quality much of the time. We had pizza for supper and then Evelyn wanted to go to the college to find tickets for the Balsam Range concert. I was certain that they were sold out. I was wrong. We got good tickets and sat with Phil and JoAnn. It was a very good concert lasting about 2 ½ hours. They are great musicians and love to play at home and are all from Haywood County.
