Football sadness

We didn’t sleep late even though we could have. Evelyn worked on the snacks for the party, and I worked on tomorrow’s message until the pregame talks began. The company arrived at 11 and the game began. We had some split pea soup at half time and then continued watching. The game lived up to my expectations: it was great but Purdue lost in overtime. The guests left at 2:30. The men and I had looked at our heat pump system. The heat doesn’t work but the A/C does. We couldn’t find any reset button, so I will have to call a repair man Monday. In fact I tried a number that Delbert Frazier gave us to call a repair man but got no answer. We rested after they left until 5 when we went to Joe and Bonny’s for dinner. They had quite a bit of food leftover from their family Thanksgiving and shared it with us. She had made a delicious dressing and several pies. Her gravy was good too but not quite as good as Lloyd’s was at the hall. We always have a good time with them. We were home by 9 in time for me to practice the message again after we took a walk around the park. It had been a cool sunny day and was a very pleasant evening to walk. The wind was calm, making the temperature quite pleasant.
