bad golf again

I couldn’t sleep past 5:30, so I got up and made some charitable contributions because we have a great deal of the Lord’s money to give away before the first of the new year. When Evelyn returned from exercise, we rode our bicycles to Diana’s restaurant for breakfast. We asked Judy Kruse to ride with us. Her husband is recovering in a nursing home and just began to swallow some liquids this morning. She is very excited, and we all thank God for his recovery. We returned in time to see Armand coming to our house, proposing that we play golf this afternoon. I was sleepy and took a nap for half an hour before going to play. Evelyn worked on baking a cake for the LWML Christmas party while Armand and I played a miserable round of golf. Actually it wasn’t terrible until the final hole. I don’t know what is so intimidating about that hole, but I can’t play it at all. We did pick up a small Hispanic man on the 6th hole who was playing alone. He had lived in South Bend, IN for 30 years and moved to Mercedes to live after retiring. He parred 2 of the 4 holes we played together. Armand and I came home and enjoyed 2 beers and a snack. Then Evelyn and I ate dinner before coming in to watch what we thought was the 3rd episode of Sarah Palin’s Alaska. It wasn’t. The promotion keeps promising it will be shown next Sunday. I guess we will wait. We will go to the hospital tomorrow. I hope to sleep better tonight.
