Losing some friends for the season

Another beautiful day of low humidity. We have been able to eat our meals on the porch for a couple of days. After breakfast we went to the Wednesday morning square dance. I hate to speak too soon, but I think we are finally getting it. The people seem more accepting even though they don’t know our names. Of course we would help things if we wore our name tags. We returned home and I made final arrangements to trade volunteer slots at the stock show. We also learned that Roger and Mitzi are leaving for home almost a month early. We learned that their daughter is unemployed and needs their support. They leave tomorrow so we said goodbye. Tomorrow is also the day Joe and Marlene head back to Canada. We said goodbye to them as well. We met Lloyd and Marilyn at Okells for a fish supper. Armand had gone fishing 3 times and had several fillets of fish that they wanted to share. We enjoyed the evening but do notice that they spend a great deal of time talking about Canada. We have learned much about that country from them but are sometimes sort of on the outside. Rose and Armand will leave next week and we will miss them. Lloyd and Marilyn will come for crawfish etouffee within the next 3 weeks since they will be staying longer.
