Today is Mother’s Day. We went to Bible class and then to worship. The pastor had been gone most of the week because his younger daughter had to have surgery in Winston-Salem. She is only 2. The pastor was very tired and needs prayer. We left for Maggie Valley so we could have a Mother’s Day dinner at “Butts on the Creek”, a barbecue restaurant. We drove around Maggie just for old times sake. We stayed there a month in our motor home before we bought our current home. We came home and Evelyn felt bad and went to bed, but I had to get he up because I remembered we were to usher at the local theater. The play was a musical , “I love you. You’re perfect. Now change”. It was good, and we really enjoyed it. We came home and Evelyn went to bed. I was planning to help her plant some of our tomatoes but she didn’t get up until Emily called to talk. Stacy and family had called earlier to sing “Happy Mother’s Day”. The girls know what a wonderful mother they have. We finished the day by watching “The Other Guys” starring Will Ferrell. It was ridiculous but funny.
