Christ is risen! He is risen indeed!
Happy Easter! We praise God for this glorious day of promise. We went to Trail's End to lead worship as usual. We were surprised and blessed to have 36 in attendance. The people there are very kind to us and a great blessing from the Lord. There were several people who like my messages that came from Immanuel. Some had gone to the sunrise service and some came here instead. We were blessed with one couple who had likely gone to worship twice all season and both were to hear the message God had given to them through me. We then scurried off to Immanuel where we rehearsed our Easter numbers and then sang them during the service. The pastor's message was tremendous! Perhaps one reason I say that is that I have been trying to say many of the same things for years. For example, rejoice when returning from the Communion rail. It is a time for celebration. Don't look like you are having gas pains (my image but the same feeling as his). I wanted to have a copy to share, but the one Sunday when the message was not tape recorded was today. We waited until 1:00 for Don and Janice Waters to arrive so we could go to enjoy an Easter buffet. Fat people need buffets: they keep their strength up. We enjoyed the Golden Corral and left from there to go to Randy Winston's since Bonny had invited us and Don and Janice had never been to Progreso Lakes. We spent an hour talking with them and then brought the Waters back and they left for home at 6:00. I watched the end of the MSU/KY game. It was a great game. Evelyn took a short nap and I went for a walk. I came home and watched my Sunday shows. I will have withdrawl symptoms during this next week since I don't have sermons to prepare anymore. I must see the doctor tomorrow and learn what medicine I need to get from Mexico for both me and Evelyn when we head north. She will go on Medicare in September and we won't have enough medicine to last until we return to the Valley. The medicine will cost at least twice as much.
