Wonderful friends

We arose to fog again. We wanted to walk early so we could get home in time to prepare lunch for Tom and LuAnn. I did the computer work quickly and we left. Evelyn cooked the rice and ettouffee while I vacuumed the floor and cleaned the glass table tops. Before they arrived, I tried to call them to ask Tom to bring some speaker wire. He has some of everything in his garage, but they were already gone. They arrived and we began with the vegetable pizza from last night’s potluck. We also had some sauvignon blanc and then moved on to white zinfandel. We ate crawfish and the meal was delicious. Evelyn can really cook that Cajun food. After lunch we went to show them Lake Junaluska and we walked around it again at a much slower pace than this morning. We then took them into Waynesville to go to Mast General Store. I also went to see Laurie about some eggs and brought them home. It was almost 5 and they had to get home to take care of their dogs. We just came home and Evelyn crashed. She had really had a busy day. While she slept, I cleaned the kitchen and did the dishes. I think I should help since she does the fantastic cooking. She appreciated the help. I looked through the mail and found a note from the lab report on her blood work saying her potassium was on the low side of ok since she had changed medicine. Her blood pressure was high, however so we will have to keep checking that. We spent the evening relaxing. We really enjoy Tom and LuAnn. They are special people.
