We slept in, got up and went to church for an open forum meeting in which the pastor tried to learn just what direction the congregation wants to go in the future. He wants to learn whether the church wants to grow or not and whether the members are willing to do what it takes to increase membership. Personally, I don’t see how they can because many of the members are older and are summer attendees like us. They will mostly go to Florida for the winter. The forum was scheduled for all day, but we went home because we would not be much of a help in leadership roles. We are always glad to serve and support but are just as unreliable here as we are in Texas. I washed the car in the early afternoon and watched some of the college football games in the afternoon. I think Purdue is in trouble for making it to another bowl game this year. They must win 6 games, and I can’t find them. They must beat Arizona tonight.
