Readying the rental unit and volunteering

We both awakened around 4 AM again. This is getting old. After being up for about an hour. We were able to get two more hours of sleep because we went back to sleep until 7. Evelyn went to exercise while I got ready to go to Harlingen to deal with the unit. I stopped at Diana’s in Mercedes for a breakfast taco. I had not had one since our return. On to HRL. I went to the office and got the keys that had been found. I tried them all but none fit the door to the unit. I did find one to fit the padlock so I did not have to use the hack saw that I had brought. I carried the TV into the unit and smelled a very fetid odor. I could not find any dead carcass but couldn’t see under the unit. I put our electric grill into the shed. I turned on the water and the electricity so things would be ready for the renters. I even filled the ice trays with water so they would have ice. The park maintenance man came over and said he would have his men come to look under the unit for an opossum that may have died. I did notice the smell stronger under the kitchen sink and poured some pine sol cleaner on the floor under the sink. I also opened many windows to allow the breeze to help. I wrote a note but hoped the roving propane truck would come while I was there. I would have waited longer but had to return to Weslaco so we could go volunteer at the hospital at 12:30. I grabbed a quick lunch and put on the clothes Evelyn had ready for me. We had a steady day at the information desk, and I learned many new things. I won’t remember them by myself next week, but the old timers will help. We came home and made a pizza for us and Ray and Genny. Afterward we played hand and foot for about two hours. They left and we went to bed. I did have a man call about the Jeep. He sounded interested but won’t be able to meet with me until at least Monday.
