Wonderful weather

I awakened a little before 4 AM because I was bothered by the high “nominal” fee to pay our NC taxes. I would have mailed it earlier had I known it would cost $30+ to pay on line. I finally wrote a check and mailed later in the morning. I thought seriously about driving it to the post office to make sure it made it to NC before it became delinquent. I went back to bed shortly after 5 and slept the hour and a half until time to get up for golf.
Up early, shower, pick up Ray and off to Tierra Santa Golf Club. We had the $35 special: 18 holes, cart, bag of balls to hit, and hamburger lunch. It was very foggy at first while we hit our practice balls but cleared up by our tee time of 8:53. Ray and I both played poor first rounds and then stopped for our hamburger while the other two in our foursome went on. It was a beautiful day albeit a bit warm--85. We played the back 9 by ourselves and played even worse. We came home and I tried to work on the computer but finally had to take a nap. When I wakened, we distributed our medicine for the next two weeks and got ready to go out with Ray and Genny for dinner. We used my $25 coupon that I got for $5. We enjoyed the dinner and Evelyn and I brought some of ours home. We returned here for cookies and eggnog after which we played farkle with the Durkins. Ray was still tired from the straight through drive from Kansas. We were tired too and went to bed before the Alamo Bowl game was over.
