Good news and "free" money

Evelyn to exercise, and I to walk. She and another lady watch an exercise video, and she walks on the treadmill nearly everyday. I don’t always walk but I try quite often. Today I had to get back in order t get to the welding shop to see if he could use the old mounting brackets on the new Saturn. Evelyn thought it best to take the Jeep too, so we both drove there. He said he would be there at 9 but did not show until 9:45. It happened to be his birthday, and his friends had taken him out for breakfast. He moved half a dozen cars out of the way and then put the car on a hoist to inspect the frame. He said he could use the brackets and would take the iron from the Jeep next Monday. I then went to Trail’s End to have copies of some carols we will sing next Sunday copied. They were good enough to make them for me. I also left a sign up sheet for the AARP class and a for sale sign mentioning the Jeep. I went to another park and left them there too. I also went to the recycle center. I came straight home because John, our pianist, said he would come around noon to get his copies of the songs. We had lunch but he never showed up. We worked on trying to find the break in the line of one of the Christmas tree lights with no success. We set up our new Q-grill that had come yesterday and I even went to get a propane cylinder for it. Evelyn wants to try it out soon. We decided to eat Popeye’s chicken for dinner and John showed up just after we finished. During the afternoon, the DHL truck came to deliver our $500 gift certificate from Target. This was an incentive for buying the Saturn Vue. We will use it to buy a TV for NC. I wouldn’t buy anything from Target but the money is already spent there whether we use the certificate or not. We felt very good all day, completely recovered from our colonoscopy. They told us at the hospital that we were clean and they would check on us today. They did. We really like that hospital and its policies. We spent the evening at home. We will go to deliver Christmas food in Mexico tomorrow morning, and I am scheduled to play golf tomorrow afternoon.
