A slow day
We slept in this morning because we rarely get to, and I turned the alarms off during the night. We didn’t get up until 8:30. Evelyn then went to walk and I began to work on the sermon. The Lord was merciful and made me satisfied with what I have. I called Lee Anderson and he and Marilyn agreed to read the scriptures. They just arrived last week but he was a teacher and can do many things in the services. Evelyn and Joan Birdsong met and filled the Communion cups and prepared for the feast tomorrow. I went to get the mail and found the golf club having its monthly lunch. I had forgotten to sign up for it but did get a beer to bring home. I pulled the list of AARP class hopefuls because it was too large and ran into four ladies in the office who disagreed. There is not enough room in the outback for the number of enrollees. They said we could accommodate twice that number but they don’t have to lead the group. They don’t have to deal with people complaining about the lack of room to use their workbooks. None of them was willing to lead the class. J Evelyn wants to invite guests for lunch tomorrow but her helper with communion didn’t want to come so we will have to call someone else. We might find someone free at worship tomorrow. After we took a short nap we took a walk in the quite chilly weather and then nestled in for the night. I tried to find a decent movie on the PPV channel of our Dish Network but couldn’t. I have trouble knowing how to do some of those things. Evelyn worked on a dessert for tomorrow’s guests called peach pie surprise. I did some organizing of some papers into folders. That’s a wrap!
