Not happy campers
We exercised and then I went to Trail’s End to try to set up the service on
Sunday if we are gone. We will have some scripture reading and singing many hymns. I think that things will go well and we will be here, although the current report on Mom is that she is now on hospice care. Evelyn went to the morning Bible study in the park. Afterward we went to the luncheon held for hospital volunteers and enjoyed lasagna. We then went to see a doctor in McAllen. Evelyn thinks she wants a face lift and wanted a consultation. The procedure seems unnecessary to me: she is already one of the most beautiful women in the park. We will think about it. We went to the Saturn dealership to complain about the interest charges we incurred in making the loan. By not knowing the amount we owed, we were forced to wait for a statement and by then we owed around $100 in interest. Neither of us remembers this type of thing being discussed. We know we were never told where we could obtain the amount so we could pay the note off as we had proclaimed we would do. I think I will write Saturn to complain. We also had to get the remote control to the car reprogrammed. It stopped functioning at the golf course yesterday. We also had the car washed. We went on to the mall so Evelyn could shop for some items. On the way we filled the gas tank and was shocked to find that we only got 17 mpg on this tank. That is the same we got on the Jeep we had to trade. Perhaps it will improve after the car is broken in. I am beginning to think that we made a mistake in changing cars. We went to an elegant restaurant and used one of our coupons for appetizers. We had two different kinds of shrimp in sauces. Evelyn was unimpressed and thought the premises were depressing. We came home and relaxed for the evening.
