Eating, etc.

My new bicycle helmet.

Delicious barbecue pork sandwiches.

Just a few of the 150 at the party.

I got up this morning and prepared for the Can-Am golf tournament. I was loading my clubs into my car when a golfer walked by and told me the tournament had been cancelled! This by Canadians! Haven’t they been cold and windy before. Instead we went for a late breakfast at the Frontier. We had a coupon for 59% off a cheese enchilada dinner. Evelyn had chicken strips. We drove around Pine to Palm park looking for their expansion. We only found where they might expand but found no evidence that anything had begun. We also found a new restaurant Bonny had told us about and returned home. We didn’t want to eat anything before 3 because the golf banquet was still on. The tournament will be next Saturday. Evelyn had brought two videos from the library: a documentary on Santa Fe, NM and a movie, Leaving Las Vegas, a movie I said she wouldn’t like because it is quite sad. She watched most of it but not the most challenging parts. I had seen the movie so I rode to the pharmacy to get my prescription and the estimates of Evelyn's cost. They still didn't have any. I won't buy anything there again. I am surprised they didn't cower at my appearance. (see above) We then went to the hall for the drinking and dining on barbecue party was being held. We sat with the people from Georgia again and heard the same stories. I didn’t remember them, but Evelyn did. There was a large crowd and the barbecued pork was delicious. We came home for a frolic and a walk around the park. I had to practice the worship service and the sermon so we stayed in as is our custom on Saturday night. Evelyn had started some hazelnut/poppy seed bread before we left at 3. It was not done until almost 6 so we were back from our walk before we removed it from the machine. Here are pictures from the party.
