Super slow Sunday

Evelyn was feeling bad this morning so she stayed home. She has a cold. I went to preach and had a great service. Some of the members of the men’s chorus they have there worship with us most Sundays so they sang. We had 42 in attendance even though the bi-weekly brunch where some of our regulars work. The Bible class members decided that I should go home so I was here early. Evelyn was asleep so I just messed around on the computer, looking at next week’s message. I also made some broccoli soup and picked some lettuce from the garden for a salad. I wakened Evelyn and had our lunch. We cleaned up the kitchen and then I took a nap. I often don’t like to do that because I want to sleep at night, but today I was tired. When I awakened we took a walk around the park. It was just as windy today as yesterday but the wind was from the south instead of the north. We invited some people to watch some of the super bowl but they didn’t come. We had met them at the dance Friday; they are from the coast of North Carolina. We just packed in for the night. The bad news is that the new wireless network in our park may have ruined my wireless connection that I have used since we have been here. I will have to try again tomorrow. Otherwise I am back on dial-up for a couple of months. I may check to see whether we can use the park wireless for two months when we will leave. I also called my brother to see about whether he wanted any alcohol or vanilla. They were having a party but didn’t want anything. We watched the game, the highlight of which was the “geezer bowl” starring Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones. They must be very close to my age and I wish I was half as limber, thin and energetic. I would have not been surprised to see them taken off in wheelchairs. Maybe I could be as thin if I gyrated around as much as they do. I might be more of a candidate for assistance than them.
