golf party
We started Saturday in the usual way. Evelyn went to exercise while I worked on the service. Evelyn learned that the kitchen band visit to the nursing homes next Thursday has been canceled for next Thursday and the trip to distribute food and clothing to the colonia has been changed from Friday to Thursday. This really puts us in a bind. When she returned, we talked with one of the painters who has been a landscaper in Ohio in the past. He has some ideas on what to plant around our pergola and other places around our house. We also washed the outside window because the painters have removed the sunscreens from the windows. We had a light lunch, anticipating the largesse of the golf club party in the afternoon. We had an enormous spread of turkey and ham as entrees. We also had many salads, hors doerves, side dishes and desserts. All the beer, wine and sodas wanted are served too. We sat with some people we don’t know well, the blessing of not sitting with the same people each time. We finished at 5:30 but it was still too early for me to clean the coffee pots. Tomorrow is my final day to do it until I sign up again. I went back at 6:30 to do it and returned home. We began watching a movie at 8 but I couldn’t make it past 9:15. I went to bed and went right to sleep. I was exhausted from something; perhaps too much wine, beer and food. I have heard that will do it. It was a beautiful day today but a bit warmer than I like.
