In need of a heater

We got up and Evelyn went to exercise while I showered and dressed for the day at Knapp Medical Center. We went to the reorientation meeting and were one hour late. The secretary forgot to call and tell us that the meeting had been moved up an hour. We did learn some new things, but it was mostly a recharge meeting for existing volunteers. We were finished by just after 10:30 so we went to look at floor covering and outdoor tiles. We found some laminated flooring that was reasonably priced, making us interested. We returned to the hospital for a free lunch given for our birthdays and did our volunteering. I enjoyed working with our regular friends while Evelyn was bored and cold in the outpatient section. We left at 5 and came home to rest and eat. I had taken too much lunch, so we mixed it with some left over sausage, bell pepper and sautéed onions. It was very good but still too much to eat. When we came home, we found the furnace running at high speed. It was 82 degrees inside. I went to the hall to call Bonny for the telephone number of a good heating guy. I just wanted to know how to stop it. I found two circuit breakers and shut them off. I called the service man and told him he need not rush here. He said he would come Monday morning. Evelyn spent the evening sending Christmas letters, and I worked on the Sunday service. It began raining again late in the evening. It is really cold for this area but we don’t need heat. We can snuggle together to keep warm in bed.
