new license plates
Friday I took a walk around both parks. I came home to work on the sermon a bit. I also put some of the things away that the painters had to move before they painted. I tried to give some of the golf balls away that Billy Riggs gave me in NC but he already had too many. I vacuumed the floors for tonight’s party and then we had lunch. I took Evelyn to the hospital and then went to the local license branch to get our new plate sticker. I found the building and got the sticker without incident. I had thought I never received the renewal form but found it in the glove box while looking for my insurance policy. I also went to the bank to cash the check from the AARP for attending the meeting last month. I went to the hospital half an hour late but still in time to help the other two volunteers. We were quite busy most of the day, but Evelyn was not. She has volunteered at the wrong position. We came home and Evelyn napped while I prepared dinner: I opened a can of soup. We finished eating just in time for our friends to come to play hand and foot. We enjoy playing cards with them even though we have little in common. This one of the few lasting friendships we have made in the park. We have invited many couples for dinner but have had very few try to establish a lasting friendship. They left around 10, leaving me some time to write this blog entry.
