Party preparations

Our new clock radio wakened us at 7, but we didn’t rush out of bed. When we did, Evelyn completed her regular routine. I put things out of the Texas room to clean it for the party tomorrow. I loaded two coolers with drinks and made labels for them. Evelyn began the preparation when she got home. We will use our new warming tray to keep food warm. She went off to the grocery for last minute supplies while I cleaned out the ice tray from the freezer so more could be made today and tonight. I must begin tweaking the sermon for Sunday because I will have no time on Friday. We worked more in the afternoon to prepare for the party. We really don’t know how many people are coming but we will have a ham dinner at 6 before the football game. We went for a short bike ride around 4:30 but it was very windy so the rest of the bike club did not go. We spent the evening watching Singing in the Rain with Gene Kelly. Musicals are not the same. I also got a call from Tom Jones who told me to play the disk that came with the Magellan 360 in the computer. I just put it in to see if it worked and it did. Tom will call back Sunday afternoon to talk me through the procedure.
