Jesus is born!

Christmas Day. Jesus is born! We didn’t sleep later despite being up so late last night. It was quite cool today for the Valley. The wind was also quite strong. Nevertheless, I had decided to ride my bicycle to Trail’s End and get some Communion supplies because I wanted to take the Lord’s Supper to a couple of shut ins. The trip to the park was difficult into the wind but easy coming back. We got ready and went to the community hall for the Christmas dinner. We were at a table with 13 other people. The turkey was furnished by the park but the ladies met and decided who would bring what for the dinner. We had a delicious selection as usual. I took a bottle of wine and drank it all myself. I was quite tired when we returned home at 2:30. I laid down and napped until 5. I would have slept longer but was wakened by Evelyn so we could visit Ruth Muller at an abandoned RV park and Janet Ballou, an attendee of the worship service at Trail’s End who had fallen and was in a local nursing home. Both were appreciative of my bringing them the Supper. We came home and had no dinner because we were still full from noon. We watched the Christmas program by Mannheim Steamroller. We tired out quickly and went off to bed right after the 10 o’clock news.
