Another class down
We had some time Thursday morning so I went to the hall to find Tom Crouch. I wanted to ask him to look at the sweeper. He did and it ran for him. This has happened before with this sweeper. I brought it home. I also went to the back door and removed the old planks and bolts. I took some ospho out and painted it onto some of the metal tubes that support the planks. Then I laid the new ones on in case Evelyn would step out. I will paint the frame with black Rustoleum before permanently attaching the planks. A fellow volunteer picked us up with another neighbor to go to the volunteer lunch at the hospital. We told the people in charge that we had to leave early to get back to my driving class on time, so we ate more toward the beginning. When we finished we went back, and I finished the class quite early. Roy and I went to the model park model (I meant to say that) being sold by the Encore system. They are very nice but overpriced. I came home and Evelyn was gone, riding around the parks with the bike club. I read the Purdue sports newspaper that was not extremely optimistic about next season. We really didn’t have a meal this evening because Evelyn was busy packing a box to send to the Beelis. They have four birthdays in February so we are sending the gifts all at once. I thought we might go to a dance since we have stayed home most of the evenings this week, but she never made any move to get ready to go. She did call our friends in Ranchero, but had to leave a message. They didn’t return the call so I guess we can’t go to the dance by ourselves. We watched TV again, finishing “Mr. Mom” which was a funny old movie.
