Super Bowl party
Sunday was another blessing. We left for worship and found the Trailblazers, the men’s chorus from Trail’s End, seated along with several others. I began setting up the lectern area but people Kept coming. When we began worship, there were 81 in the congregation. This was almost more than the library where we meet could hold. It is a real blessing to have so many people willing to come to worship with us. We had our usual small Bible study and then went to Immanuel to sing with the choir. We were in time for the sermon and the serving of Holy Communion. We were home by 12:30 and ate lunch. We spent much of the afternoon preparing for the party this evening. The disappointing thing was that Don and Janice called to say they were not coming. We had planned the party so we could be with them. We were upset but went ahead with the party of course. We called two other couples but could not find a replacement. I worked on the back step for a while and messed up the job. I will have to find a back up. The guests arrived on time and we enjoyed the game won by the Colts. Everyone was gone by 9:30 and we relaxed with Hercule Poirot, Agatha Christy‘s detective.
