A work day
Saturday was a bit warmer but still overcast. We slept a bit later and then we went to get some supplies for the party. We went together because Enrique said he needed 4 bags of sand, 8 pavers, and 4 bags of topsoil. I dropped Evelyn at Wal-Mart to shop while I went on to Home Depot. I got all the things loaded and was back to get her before she had checked out. I was certainly surprised. We brought things back and I tried to drill the holes in the planks for the back step, but the drill battery was weak. I connected the charger and left it to recharge overnight. Enrique needed money so I paid him the balance of money for the entire job. It is not finished, but I trusted the Lord would bring him back to finish. Evelyn finished painting the wrought iron archway for the back walk. That takes a lot of time and patience. I was tweaking the sermon for tomorrow. We went to walk in the afternoon and came home for the evening. We watched the showing of “The Stepford Wives”. We also called Emily, and I talked with her. Normally Evelyn does that but didn’t think the phone was working correctly. We talked mostly about investments and retirement money. I finally had to hang up to practice the service for tomorrow.
