Many visits

Wednesday I learned Kara has the week off. Evelyn had a blood test this morning and learned that her cholesterol was 273, the bad news among many good ones. She picked me up at 11 so I could come home to shower for our day of visiting. We met Krauses at Nicos and split a Muffeleta sandwich. We visited with them about 1 ½ hours and then went to meet Jennifer and Jonathon at their rental house. It is a nice, modern log cabin in Maggie Valley. We spent time there, watching a DVD about The Villages, a development in Florida. We also played an electronic game: Wii. It has many games on it including golf and bowling. It was fun but a person could do everything on the computer and never go outside. We drove them up to Cataloochee Ranch to show them around and then went back to Maggie Valley for pizza. It was good but the gooest I have ever eaten. Most pizza is a little crisp but this was one inedible by a child. We left and went to choir practice. It was so hot in the sanctuary that I had to go outside once just to cool off. The astounding thing was that, on the hottest night so far this year, we practiced longer than our usual hour or less. I was not happy about that. We came home and watched the Cubs who are in a real scoring funk.
