bean recall? What?

Wednesday was a perfect day. It was hot again, but business picked up. I had to wash the windows so I kept busy. The unusual thing was that one of the district managers came in and told us of a bean recall. We must have discarded 30 pounds of beans. I had to put them into a trash bag and lift them breast high to get them into the dumpster. It took two efforts but I finally got the container it was in up to the opening and into the container.
It was easier to do that than pull the bag out. I still have no hose to spray the outside eating area nor the drive through. I still think I will write Kara a letter. Evelyn walked, filled our gas tank, talked with Laurie about eggs, got her cross from the jeweler, baked cookies, fixed lunch, and laid out my clothes for the afternoon. She did this for me because we had to hurry from here to Asheville. I wanted to get more white wine at Aldi and Evelyn wanted some cotton knit to use in making nightgowns for the granddaughters. Aldi does not take credit cards so we had to use all the cash we had between us. We did find the material and the store there took plastic. It was a good thing. We came back to Clyde for my appointment with the new doctor. We both liked him. He is a doctor of osteopathy (DO), a trait I like better than a straight MD. He recommended I stop the Lipitor to see if my leg ache would go away. Muscle pain is a side effect of Lipitor. He also gave my “Christmas goose “ early. Everything was ok. We came home for dinner and then went to choir practice despite knowing we would be gone this Sunday. We did practice music for weeks after. We came home and finished packing our clothes for Sunday. There is, of course, always something we can’t pack until the last minute. This will be difficult since we have to clean the China after the party Saturday. I watched the Cubs game until bed time.
