Welcome back, winter Texans

Tuesday morning was normal: exercise and walk. I went to the hall and found Evelyn trying to lobby for a new DV D/VCR combination for her exercise room. She has to talk with the park manager who was supposed to be in the office this afternoon but wasn’t. I talked with the Froments about going to the welcome back party this evening. We planned to go out and I called the restaurant where we wanted to go and learned that they were not having the specials we wanted. We came home and ate our breakfast before going to do some shopping. We went to buy birthday cards but found the place we usually go for sale. We went on to Wal-Mart and saw Marilyn who invited us for a fish dinner before we went to the party. We went on to Big Lots to look for a DVR but found none, although there might be more. We then went to El Pato for al lunch. We had a buy one get one free and brought one of them home. We went to the library so Evelyn could renew a book and then came home to rest. It was already 1:30 and I worked on the sermon until I went to choir practice for the cantata on Christmas Eve. I returned home and we prepared to go to the neighbor’s for a delicious dinner of tilapia. We went on to the party, and Evelyn won a mug of candy and two tickets to see the local hockey team play in January. We had a good time too. I drank beer and danced with two of the women from church who never get to dance because their husbands are in the band and giving our the prizes. We came home by 9:30 and relaxed.
