shopping fun

After exercise we left for Mexico for Evelyn’s whitening treatment. We were quite late because Evelyn had to stop at the Weight Watchers to weigh in. I took cardboard etc. to the recycle center. It was 10:10 by the time we arrived. She got the equipment she needed and we left for McAllen. We had parked under a tree yesterday that must have been a bird motel so we were in desperate need of a car wash. We went to the Saturn dealership to leave the car and have them take us to Mr. Ghatti’s for lunch. To our surprise, the car was washed and we were off. We had the salad bar/pizza buffet and then went back to shop at Target, Marshall’s, and HEB for groceries. We found a splitter for the computer, some purple candles for our Advent Wreathe, and ceramic dish for baking sauces, two things we had looked for in several places. We came home and skipped supper because of the large lunch. Instead we strung lights onto our tree and put the garland on our steps. We have been able to decorate more than we expected to but are still not finished. I watched the first half of the Dallas/Green Bay football game until John Hamel arrived at half time. He has cable TV and could not get the NFL network as we could. We drank beer and ate peanuts until the game ended. Evelyn had gone to bed earlier having washed her hair. We both have doctor’s appointments tomorrow morning before volunteering at the hospital tomorrow afternoon.
