Running wild

I had Phil at the airport by 4:30 AM and drove back going to bed immediately. I was able to sleep until 8, thinking I would be able to nap later in the day. Evelyn dressed and went to the Christian Women’s Club luncheon. We learned later that this was the one month I could have gone too. Instead she went with Jacque Thomas and met Janice there. Meanwhile I went to the grocery for some supplies. I also got some things from Wal-Mart and cashed an AARP check at the bank. I had hoped to get the next states quarter but can’t get them until Friday. I beat Evelyn home and worked a bit on the service and ate a small lunch of a sweet potato, leftover cheese grits from last evening, and a pickled egg. When she arrived we both took a nap. We got up and I tried to return the golf clubs I had borrowed for Phil but no one was home. I came home for supper, and we finished the gumbo before we left for Lenten service and choir practice. We practiced a song that is beautiful but quite high in range for me. My voice gave out in a hurry. We came home and I went to the hall to help set up tables for tomorrow’s benefit breakfast. Evelyn went to see if she had left her glasses in Jacque’s car. They weren’t there. She will have to search farther. Emily called and scheduled a time Sunday afternoon to talk with Pieder. I also scheduled a time to rehearse the song I will sing at Sunday’s service and a time for John Hamel to come to see if we can make the DVD recorder to work.
