A marvelous musical review
Wednesday began as usual except we had bought some steel cut oatmeal, recommended by our doctor in NC. He says this is the only type that is really effective for lowering cholesterol. As we learned at our doctor appointment, Evelyn especially needs to do more to control hers. We also got reports on our tests last week. Mine showed no damage to my neck and no aorta aneurysm. Evelyn, however, showed a 20-30% blockage in her left artery. This was not serious but did show she needs to do more to control her cholesterol. Therefore steel cut oatmeal. We ate some leftovers for lunch and then rested/worked on Sunday’s message. Evelyn had not gone to sleep until 4:54 this morning and was extremely tired. She needed a nap in the worst way. We then dressed for dinner out at the Olive Garden in Harlingen before going to the 5th in our concert series. It was a collection of music from Broadway plays. The performance was magnificent. The choreography was superb as was the dancing and singing. It was even better than the Harry James orchestra. The young people have so much energy that it is breathtaking. We came home and went to bed. Hopefully Evelyn will be able to sleep tonight. I found some Simply Sleep that might help if she needs it.
