good sales and a new toy.

I slept well wearing the mask but no better than usual. Unfortunately, Evelyn slept poorly, not because the machine made any noise. We don’t know what keeps her awake. We were up at 6 to go to the garage sale that began at 7. There was not a big crowd but it seemed that they were willing to buy. We took in $53. Naturally we did not make any money because we sold everything at a lower value than we paid, but we did get rid of quite a bit of the items we had that we no longer wanted. We finished at 10 and then came home. We picked up John and Sue to take them to lunch. We stopped at the flea market to look for some appliqués for Evelyn to attach to a blouse but found none. We did buy a pineapple. We went on to Willie’s barbecue since they had never been there and wanted smoked ribs. We had stopped at a filling station for gas, and I bought us a diet Pepsi and two beers. Unfortunately, Willies wouldn’t allow us to bring them in. We finished our lunch and went to Wal-Mart to get a lug wrench for the trailer since the one for the Saturn won’t fit it. We returned on home and Evelyn went to bed for a nap. I was tired too but fought the sleep so I could sleep tonight. We went to pay for the new golf cart we will buy. The seller will be staying here until sometime in June and will then park the unit in our driveway. We went to Palin’s to pay for the cart. I stayed and talked with him a while and he threw in some blazer buttons and a $200 golf bag. He will come tomorrow evening so I can show him where to put the cart when he leaves in June. Bill wanted to talk about his past and I was glad to listen. I came home and we had more snacky leftovers for our supper. I washed the dishes and then took off on our bikes for a ride around the park. We went around twice, saying goodbye to some who were leaving soon. We also stopped at one unit where some Christian friends from Iowa. He especially liked to talk about the good things God had done for them in their lives. We came home and relaxed before going to bed.
