Fun in the mountains
More sleeping trouble. I was up and let Evelyn sleep more. I called a friend to see if they would go to Fines Creek with us. They couldn’t. Evelyn got up and we ate a huge bowl of fruit I had prepared for our breakfast. Then of to the lake. We went on to town to get tomatoes from the farmer’s market. We wanted some corn but they had none. We returned DVDs to the library and went to get my shoes but found the repair shop closed. We came back home and stopped at the Food Lion which had a special on Klondike bars. We bought a few other items as well. We came home for lunch of brisket we had left from the ME meeting here back in June. It was still very good. Emily and Evelyn talked for a while and she, Andrew, and I will talk tomorrow concerning my being his writing coach. I swept the hard floors and Evelyn mopped in preparation for her not being well enough to do it next week before the family comes. We got ready and went to the bluegrass festival alone. Our neighbor here has a wife that will do nothing away from home. We enjoyed the evening. It cost more to go this year but the entertainment was far superior to that of years past. We left about 9 even though the jam lasted until 11:30. We had heard the groups we were interested in.
